CCMR, in collaboration with the Youth Media Agency (YMA), present a seminar to explore including ‘age’ as a classification on the Editors Code, and other guidelines for reporting on children and young people.
The UK media has been singled out by the UN for its unethical treatment of young people, and YMA have been involved with a number of age-related charities preparing submissions for Leveson. This seminar will both discuss the issues at stake and try and develop a practical strategy for action to improve the quality of reporting on children and young people.
